ABOUT ME

I am a tenure track researcher at CEFCA (Teruel). I like travelling as much as I like science. I did my PhD in Bologna (INAF-OABo) during 2009-2012. After that I moved to Canary Islands, where I did my first post-doc at IAC (2012-2013), Later, I worked at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2014-2016). I lived in Philadelphia (USA), 2016-2019, where I was a post-doc at University of Pennsylvania. In 2019 I came back to Spain with  a post-doctoral fellow at Instituto de Ciencias del Espacio, Barcelona.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

The amount of data that Big Astronomical surveys will acquire require of efficient tools for their analysis. Deep Learning has demonstrated to be extremely useful for  purposes, such as morphological classification of galaxies.
